Target group
The consecutive, English-taught Master's degree program "International Management" builds on the knowledge acquired in a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration and Economics and is therefore aimed at prospective students who have already successfully completed a Bachelor's or equivalent degree program with a Business Administration and Economics focus.
Aim of the studies
In an environment characterized by rapid economic change, technical progress, ever-increasing internationalization and globalization as well as changes in society and its values, the Master's degree programme in International Management aims to prepare graduates for activities in international corporate management. By teaching the theory-based and always application-oriented content of the degree programme, students are enabled to recognize and analyze processes and problems of business practice in an international environment, to develop economically justified solutions and to take into account extracurricular references.
Furthermore, graduates should acquire an interdisciplinary, holistic approach to management and be able to apply the different aspects and perspectives of the concepts of sustainable development, the moral and ethical foundation courses of business and the management of social responsibility.
Furthermore, the students' professional, methodological and social skills are to be further developed with a view to their future career opportunities.
Content and structure of the studies
The "Master in International Management" degree programme has a modular structure. Each module concludes with an examination for which corresponding credit points (ECTS points) are awarded.
The standard time to degree (in semesters) for the Master's degree program is four semesters.
Students must complete a total of six modules in each of the first two semesters.
In addition to specialist skills in the core subject of international management, the first two semesters focus on methodological skills that are considered indispensable as instruments in international management.
The first semester consists of compulsory modules in which core competencies are acquired, while in the second semester, in addition to further compulsory modules, an individual focus is placed on optional modules:

* The catalog of currently selectable compulsory optional modules is decided by the faculty council at the beginning of each semester. The compulsory optional modules for summer semester 2025 are listed above as an example.
Students spend the third semester abroad. There are two options here:
- Study abroad or
- Internship semester abroad
In the fourth semester, the Master's thesis must be completed and presented in an oral examination.
The Degree programme is taught in English throughout.
