The Smart Vest with EI Wire Lighting (SNAT), safety combined with stylish design - a project by students in the 5th semester of the Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology at
Hochschule Niederrhein.

Team 04 is made up of various students from different areas of specialization at The Hochschule Niederrhein, from textile and clothing managers to textile technologists and design engineers. They all worked in an interdisciplinary way to find a solution together. And now we, Team 04, are proud to present a stylish, intelligent vest with an innovative combination of El-wire lighting, safety factor and fashionable design.
The core innovation is the electroluminescent wire woven into the narrow fabric. The developed smart narrow textiles (SNAT) offer the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality and open up a wide range of new design possibilities for the theme manufacturer Gebrüder Jaeger GmbH and potential end consumers. The vest showcasing our innovation offers unparalleled functionality and safety aspects for various activities from indoor to outdoor.
