The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) Faculty of Design remains the creative number one among universities in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). This is according to the ADC Creative Index of the Art Directors Club (ADC).
In the ranking, the HSNR took second place in each of the creative disciplines "Brand Identity/Brand Design", "Brand Communication/Advertising" and "Digital Products/User Experience".
The Faculty of Design was also delighted to achieve top rankings in the craft disciplines "Spatial Experiende/Extenden Reality" (7th place), "Graphic Design/Motion Design (6th place)" and "Copywriting/Storytelling" (6th place).
"The creative industry is in a state of upheaval and communication design has become more diverse, which makes it difficult for students and universities to find their way around. The ADC Creative Index offers a much-needed navigation system that helps to better understand the diversity of creative fields of work and to make targeted use of them," says Professor Richard Jung, Professor of Communication Design at the Faculty of Design at Hochschule Niederrhein.
The ADC Creative Index is calculated annually on the basis of the most successful works by students and graduates submitted to the ADC Talent Award in the last three years. This year, over 80 public and private universities and their creative faculties from Germany and Austria attended the competition.
The Art Directors Club für Deutschland e.V. (ADC) is the leading institution for the promotion of creative excellence in the communications industry and brings together creative professionals from all disciplines. With numerous initiatives and projects, the ADC strengthens the reputation and appreciation of the creative industry and emphasizes the importance of creative communication services for the economy and society.
