The Faculty of Design of the Hochschule Niederrhein and the dance festival MOVE invite you to the 88th expenditure of the Design Discussion at Fabrik Heeder (Virchowstraße 130, Krefeld). On Thursday, October 19, starting at 8 p.m., the focus will be on the question "What does diversity mean?" Host Professor Erik Schmid will then welcome Mic Herbertz-Floßdorf (independent educator, author, supervisor, trainer, mediator and coach) to the discussion.
Schmid and Herbertz-Floßdorf will discuss what diverse togetherness looks like and what opportunities "diverse" talking, acting, thinking and shaping offer? How can participation take shape; in life, in society, in politics, in design, ...? Why do we have to and how can we reflect our privileges and stereotypes? And how do we create responsibility with them?
Diversity offers a complex and discursive potential of knowledge, which will be made visible and used in this evening. Admission is free.
