Design students show their handmade designs at the MIKS Christmas market

The Hochschule Niederrhein's design students will be showcasing these and similar products from last year at the MIKS Christmas market in Krefeld.

The Hochschule Niederrhein's design students are now showing just how creative they are against a special Advent backdrop: The pictures, cards and tableware designs they have produced in their in-house workshops will be on display for a week at the "made in Krefeld special" (MIKS) Christmas market.

From Monday, November 27 to Sunday, December 3, the budding product, object and communication designers have set up their "designkrefeld wunderbar" stand on the southern Dionysiusplatz in Krefeld. There they will be presenting their unique handmade items - including porcelain tableware, various cards and pictures produced using screen and digital printing, illuminated picture frames and the popular "Wimmelbild Krefeld".

And anyone strolling along the Christmas market will also discover another highlight from the Faculty of Design: The Christmas mug. It will be presented for the first time on Saturday, November 25, and the winner will be chosen by Krefeld's Lord Mayor Frank Meyer.

The MIKS runs until December 23 and is open Sunday to Wednesday from 12 noon to 8 pm, Thursday from 12 noon to 9 pm and Friday and Saturday from 12 noon to 10 pm.
