153 students have been awarded Germany Scholarships for their very good performance. They have now received their certificates at a ceremony in the presence of their sponsors. A total of 50 companies and foundations are supporting the selected men and women on their further studies.
The students who beat other applications in the ranking and matching process receive 300 euros a month - half of which is contributed by the companies, with the other half coming from federal funds. But it's about much more than just financial support: the students gain direct access to the company and its network, while the companies in turn work with high-performing young talent.
"My heartfelt thanks go to the companies that are committed to the next generation of specialists and, in particular, promote the personal development of students with their commitment. With fewer financial worries, students can not only concentrate better on their studies - above all, they gain time to participate in additional programs. In this partnership, we are jointly strengthening the innovative power and competitiveness of our region," says Professor Dr.-Ing. Gudrun Stockmanns, Vice President for Studies and Teaching Education at the HSNR.
The Deutschlandstipendium scholarship supports high-performing, committed students and aims to promote these talented young professionals. Companies use this support as a personnel planning and employer branding tool.
The Hochschule Niederrhein has been one of Germany's most successful universities in the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship program for many years. The HSNR has been active in this program since 2011 and has already awarded around 2,500 Deutschlandstipendium scholarships.
