Germany scholarship for 179 HSNR students

300 euros a month for the students who beat other applications in the ranking and matching process. But there is much more at stake.

179 students have been awarded Germany Scholarships for their very good performance. They have now received their certificates at a ceremony in the presence of their sponsors. A total of 56 companies are supporting the selected men and women on their further studies.

The students who beat other applications in the ranking and matching process receive 300 euros a month - half of this is contributed by the companies, the other half comes from federal funds. But it's about much more than just financial support: the students gain direct access to the company and its network, while the companies in turn work with high-performing young talent. Current scholarship student Mareike Schlangen told the audience how her path from a Bachelor's to a Master's degree went with her former and current sponsors in the Messer Trainee Scholarship.

Christian Scheuß, who studies social work at HSNR and reached the final of the music show "The Voice Kids" as a singing talent, provided the musical accompaniment before students were able to get to know their sponsors better at the get-together.

"We are delighted that so many committed students have been supported by the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship for over ten years. We would like to thank all participating institutions and companies for their idealistic and financial support," says HSNR Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fabienne Köller-Marek.

The Deutschlandstipendium scholarship supports high-achieving students and aims to promote these talented young professionals. Companies use this support as an instrument for personnel planning and employer branding.

The Hochschule Niederrhein has been one of Germany's most successful universities in the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship scheme for many years. The HSNR has been active in this program since 2011 and has already awarded almost 2,350 Deutschlandstipendium scholarships. Many companies have supported the HSNR since then, but this year new sponsors have also joined as part of Germany's largest public-private educational partnership.
