The digitization of industrial processes is becoming more and more standard. While the focus was initially on administrative or planning processes, digitization is now relevant for all entrepreneurial activities - including in the textile industry.
This applies to tasks such as design, engineering, production or marketing, for example. Textiles themselves offer an ideal surface for collecting data on the body or in the environment and integrating it into digital products.
How is the textile industry mastering the new challenges? And what opportunities do they offer at the same time? To this end, The Hochschule Niederrhein has launched the 1st International Conference on the Digitalization of the Textile Value Chain. TheITSCDC (International Textile Supply Chain Digitalization Conference) invites companies and experts from the industry to discussions from September 6 to 8 to shed light on digitalization in the textile sector from academic, educational and industrial perspectives.
The conference at the Mönchengladbach campus (Webschulstraße 41 - 43, Building Z) is divided into plenary sessions, research and industry presentations. Experts will provide important impulses with their high-caliber presentations. The research presentations will provide an opportunity to exchange and discuss ideas. With the program part "ITSCDC meets MG Open Spaces" experts from the industry are asked to present their point of view. During a workshop day, participants can familiarize themselves with the latest approaches.
Interested parties should register by August 30. Further information and registration at: https://www.hs-niederrhein.de/textil-bekleidungstechnik/forschung/konferenz-itscdc/
