The Hochschule Niederrhein's Faculty of Design is presenting its publications under the name "designkrefeld edition" at the Art Book Fair "Between Books" in the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf at Grabbeplatz 4. From November 9 to 12, 2023, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the most diverse contemporary forms of the book medium.
The "designkrefeld edition" was created in the university's printing workshops and contains a wide range of works by students and lecturers, such as the Beuys text "Aufruf zur Alternative", which was published as a limited edition to mark the 100th anniversary of Beuys' birth. "We are very much looking forward to being able to show our great work to a larger audience and we are excited about the response," says Professor Nora Gummert-Hauser from the Faculty of Design.
The university came out on top among 74 other exhibitors and numerous applications. The premiere of the Düsseldorf Art Book Fair will offer an exciting supporting program where visitors can become active themselves. There will be something for everyone, from paper-making, riso printing and bookbinding to lectures and performances.
The Düsseldorf Kunsthalle will be open on Thursday, November 9 from 5 to 9 pm. From November 10 to 12, the exhibition can be visited from 12 noon to 7 pm.
