Material damage, contamination in industrial production or infections in hospitals can be triggered by poor hygiene. The area of specialisation in hygiene management in the Bachelor's degree programme in industrial engineering at the Hochschule Niederrhein is the only area of specialisation in Germany that trains students in hygiene engineering solutions to these complex problems. Therefore, graduates have a wide range of opportunities in the job market.

In order to provide an early overview, the faculty has invited companies from the field of cleaning and hygiene to present themselves on Monday, May 8th. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., ten regional and national companies will take advantage of the opportunity.

"Hygiene managers can be used in a variety of ways. The studies open up good career prospects, as the supply of open positions is higher than the number of graduates," says Dr. Tobias Kimmel, professor in the area of specialisation in hygiene management. Jobs are available in consulting, research, product development, marketing and sales in the technical and chemical industries and in service companies.

"The fair has been held for more than ten years and offers students the opportunity to gain insight into industries that are less in the public eye. Of course, the fair is also open to all other students, as many other job opportunities exist due to the company or group structures," says the professor of cleaning technology.

In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in a prize competition. The contact fair will take place in the foyer of the J-building, Obergath 79, 47805 Krefeld from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
