More than 100,000 people are employed in the promising healthcare industry in the central Lower Rhine region. Global trends such as demographic change and regional structural change are major challenges for the industry and raise the question of how healthcare can be ensured from birth to old age.
Can increasing outpatient treatment, improved preventive services and incipient digitization compensate for the shortage of personnel in many healthcare areas? What is the role of citizens who are increasingly taking their health into their own hands and building up their own health skills?
Prof. Dr. Benno Neukirch from the Hochschule Niederrhein, Tanja Langsenkamp from Helios Klinikum Hüls and Alexander Holubars from Helios Klinikum Krefeld will discuss how hospitals in the region are dealing with such questions on Thursday, May 25.
The panel discussion marks the start of the W3 series of health topics. W3 stands for Economy, Science and We - whereby the "we" refers to the urban society. The initiator of this series of topics is the "House of Knowledge and Business" association, of which HSNR is a founding member. Previously, there had already been theme evenings on the energy crisis and the shortage of skilled workers.
It starts at 6:00 PM in area A1-605 A/B in the Helios clinical center Krefeld. Registrations by Mail are requested until 17. May under info(at)w3-krefeld.de. The number of participants is limited.
