The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) Faculty of Design has defended its top position in the ART Directors Club (ADC) university creative index in NRW. In addition, the university achieves fifth place in the creative index of the renowned non-profit organization for the first time in a nationwide comparison.
The ADC Creative Index is calculated annually on the basis of the most successful works by students and graduates that have been submitted to the ADC Talent Award in the last three years.
The Faculty of Design was able to prove itself in five of twelve categories throughout Germany. The disciplines include brand design, brand advertising, digital products, creative digital technologies and "Extended Reality", a research unit that investigates the expansion of the real world with virtual elements.
Professor Richard Jung, ADC Executive Board Member for Research and Teaching Education and Professor of Communication Design and Corporate Identity at The Hochschule Niederrhein, emphasizes the importance of the top ranking: "The ADC University Index is more than just a list of successes, it is a useful navigation tool in the complex world of the creative industries and the education sector. This orientation is not only helpful for students and universities, but also for employers in the creative industries, who can use the index to identify and recruit graduates from universities with a strong creative profile."
The ADC Talent Award is the largest and most prestigious competition for young talent in the creative industry and has been held in Germany for over 40 years.
