Functional clothing with a difference: students from The Hochschule Niederrhein demonstrated just how creative it can be when outdoor and ski clothing is transformed into completely new outfits: they recently presented their impressive creations at ISPO in Munich, the largest international trade fair for sporting goods and fashion.

The young men and women were prepared for this as part of the Masterclass in the first week on campus at the Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology. The 16 students on the Master's degree programme in Textile Products worked together with designers Nora Kühner and Cornelia Sievers.

Although functional clothing is often considered unsuitable for reuse in the sense of redesigning or redesigning, the participants were able to break through conventional thought patterns with the help of the workshop. Over the course of five intensive days, they were able to create new outfits from functional clothing in an experimental way.

These will also be presented next year at the renowned recruiting fair MG ZIEHT AN on May 15 and 16.
