The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) has presented the FAUST guest student program for the summer semester 2025. The offer is aimed at all interested people and offers a comprehensive educational and cultural program with over 200 lectures and seminars. The events take place in face-to-face, digital or hybrid form. Registration is possible from February 24 to March 14, 2025.
The offerings include lecture series on philosophical, art-historical, social and age-related topics. Professor Dr. Büchter-Römer, for example, will take interested parties on the second stage of her musical journey through Europe. In the online series "Remembering, reflecting, understanding: 80 years after the end of the Second World War", historians, political scientists and social scientists deal with selected aspects of National Socialism. Those interested in technology can register for the seminar "Artificial intelligence - background and practical exercises".
In addition, selected courses from the HSNR's regular programmes from the Faculties of Chemistry, Design, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical and Process Engineering, Oecotrophology, Social Sciences, Textile and Clothing Technology, Economics and Health Care, as well as language courses can be attended.
Digital events are held using Zoom video conferencing software. A microphone and webcam are helpful, but not a requirement. For newcomers, introductory courses for the use of Zoom and the "moodle" learning platform are offered before the start of the semester.
The guest auditor fee is 125 euros per semester for all courses. All guest students receive an ID card that entitles them to use the canteen, language centers and libraries.
