The Hochschule Niederrhein has presented the FAUST guest student program for the 2023 summer semester. The program is aimed at all interested people and offers an extensive educational and cultural program with over 200 lectures and seminars. The events take place in presence, digital or hybrid form. Registration is open from February 13th to March 10th, 2023.
Among the offerings are lecture series on philosophical, art historical, creative and age-related topics. For example, various speakers will address the topic of "Sustainability as a Social Challenge." Miriam Grates, a member of staff at the Competence Centre for Resource-Oriented Age(ing) Research (REAL), will also give a series of public lectures on the research field "Technology and Age(ing)". In addition, Dr. Dirk Tölke will lecture on the art historical development of European art and its interrelationship with other world cultures.
In addition, selected events from the regular programmes of the Hochschule Niederrhein from the Faculties of Chemistry, Design, Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, Mechanical and Process Engineering, Oecotrophology, Social Sciences, Textile and Clothing Technology, Economics and Health Care, as well as language courses can be attended.
Digital events are conducted using Zoom video conferencing software. A microphone and webcam are helpful, but not a requirement. For new students, introductory courses for the use of Zoom and the learning platform "moodle" are offered before the start of the semester.
The guest auditor fee is 125€ per semester for all courses. All guest students receive an ID card that entitles them to use the cafeteria, the language centres and the libraries.
