For the pop-up event, HSNR will move into an empty store on Hochstraße in Krefeld's city center.

Pop-Up Event: The Hochschule Niederrhein in the city center of Krefeld

From July 20 to 22, citizens of Krefeld can experience The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) off campus directly in the city center. As part of a pop-up event, the HSNR will fill a vacant store on Hochstraße with life. All interested parties are invited to attend exciting and free short presentations.

Are plastics valuable even as "waste"? Why should we put away our cell phones? What is the public observatory all about? Sustainability - what's the point? These and other questions will be answered by professors and other members of academic staff at the HSRN.

"We have come up with a format that allows us to transport knowledge into the city in a very low-threshold way. We want to make science, which often seems rather abstract, accessible to everyone with entertaining lectures," says Bettina Hansmeier from the HSNR's university communications department. The lectures last 45 minutes each and are expressly aimed at all citizens. Prior knowledge is not required.

Those who are interested in learning even more can find out more about the university's guest student program at 5 p.m. on July 21. The event will conclude on Saturday, July 22 at 1 p.m. with a presentation on "The Path to Degree. So You Know How," followed by open Student Advice on all Degree programmes.
