Students invite you to a creative workshop on Mönchengladbach's Hindenburgstraße

Students offer three workshops in one: "Kreatives Pflaster" in Mönchengladbach

Three students from The Hochschule Niederrhein's degree programme in Cultural Education & Cultural Management are encouraging young people and young adults in Mönchengladbach to get creative. Next Sunday, December 10, between 1 and 6 pm, the five-hour workshop "Kreatives Pflaster - Meine Stadt in Bild und Schrift" will be offered at "JuLook" on Hindenburgstraße in Mönchengladbach. The "JuLook" is a project of Faculties 51 Children, Youth and Family of the City of Mönchengladbach.

Here, people between the ages of 13 and 25 have the opportunity to gather inspiration and try out their creativity in three workshops. First, student Anneli van Ruler will lead a tour of the city to discover new impressions by visiting places that tend to go unnoticed. After returning to JuLook and enjoying a hot lunch, the young people can choose whether they would prefer to express their impressions, ideas and thoughts about the "creative pavement" in writing or in pictures.

In the poetry slam writing workshop supervised by student Karin Ehrlich, it is possible to present one's own thoughts in a concise, sometimes funny and sometimes profound way and write them down in poem-like texts. The painting workshop run by student Madita Diemer also offers an open space for creative expression with the help of colored pencils and acrylic paint, in which participants can contribute their own experiences as well as templates.

A voluntary joint presentation is planned at the end. Due to the weather conditions in December, we recommend wearing warm and rainproof clothing. Registration is not required and participation is free of charge.

When: Sunday, December 10 between 1 and 6 p.m.
Where: JuLook, Hindenburgstraße 12, Mönchengladbach
