City tours, cinema, lectures, discussions, exhibitions: urbanorama°, the festival for poetic city moments in Krefeld, has offered a lot with its events in the last few days.
Now the festival, in which the Faculty of Design of the Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) has actively participated on the occasion of the 650th birthday of the silk city, is entering the final spurt: until July 9, there is still much to discover: In the Mennonite Kirchstraße at the oldest Krefeld wall, the "Typography of Freedom" invites visitors to philosophize, and in the hidden side street of the Westwall "Zum alten grünen Weg" large-format photographs can be seen.
KommKommKomm", an exciting exhibition by students, awaits visitors: In the shop windows of Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof, on the tile wall opposite, and on the connecting ceiling of the underpass, a number of projects can be seen that show how diversely the Faculty of Design has been involved in urban development over the past 20 years.
And if you let your gaze roam over the pavement on Lohstraße, Corneliusstraße or Ostwall between noon and 2 p.m., you will discover shadow words that send their message to the city from balconies. The program also includes individual events such as the Urban Cinema on July 6.
For the degree and review of urbanorama°, the Asta of the HSNR invites you to the inner courtyard of the old theater at Lindenstraße 77 on Saturday, July 8, starting at 4 p.m. The detailed program with dates and locations can be found at urbanorama-festival.de.
