The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) Krefeld South Campus offers applied science you can touch: At the Engineering Days on Friday, January 24 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.), and Saturday, January 25 (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.), the Faculties of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical and Process Engineering and Industrial Engineering will present their diverse range of programs.

At the two-day in-house exhibition in the foyer of the J-Building at Krefeld South Campus (parking spaces at Obergath 79), visitors can get to know the campus and the laboratories, learn more about the students' teaching education and research projects and obtain information on application and registration from the Student Advice Center. They can also get advice on programs and the orientation semester in April 2025. For those interested in chemistry, there will be a shuttle service to the Krefeld West campus, where they will be given a tour of the Chemistry Technical Center, which will open in 2024, and other laboratories.

The Engineering Days offer students the opportunity to present their own projects to the public. This year, visitors can look forward to a self-driving AI waste advisor, a positioning aid for small milling machines and a textile-integrated sensor system for the rehabilitation of knee injuries.

There is a special highlight for motorsport enthusiasts: the HSNR racing team will be presenting its self-built electric racing car, which takes part in the international Formula Student racing series.

In the MakerSpace, students can put their knowledge from lectures to the test with professional support and put it directly into practical application. They present exactly what they have developed at the Engineering Days.
