A line can be many things. A line separates, offers orientation, marks boundaries, helps people to meet each other. When dance and art meet, not only does the interplay of lines and movements become visible, but the person themselves is also invited to explore their own (life) paths in a sensual way. Students from the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences at Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) will present their final exhibition "Walk the line" on Thursday (December 7, 7 pm). The event will take place in the Mönchengladbach City Library (Blücherstraße 6, 41061 Mönchengladbach).
For eight months, the 19 students on the Bachelor's degree programme in Cultural Education have not only been exploring the sensory diversity of the line, but have also been working on topics such as physical border crossings, social justice and the limits of what can be said using performance, animation and sound art. The indoor project is led by Professor Dr. Frank Jebe and Professor Dr. Felicitas Lowinski.
The works created in this project are now being exhibited in the city library. The opening of the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to ask the cultural educators questions about their work and gain an insight into the creative and organizational development process of the project.
