With Didem Günel

Erik Schmid, professor for theories of design at the Faculty of Design of The Hochschule Niederrhein, welcomes the Krefeld cultural scientist, social worker and dance teacher Didem Günel.

They talk about the fact that everything moves and is an expression of origin, now and future, because movement begins with life itself, is given in, through and with the body, is the origin of all further movements; in images, things, relationships, dances, rituals ... . Movement is a path of physical, psychological, cultural and aesthetic change.

Didem Günel was born in Krefeld in 1994. She left her job as a social worker to work as a freelance dance teacher, cultural mediator and cultural designer. This summer, Günel spent time working in Turkey and researched the Alevi ritual dance Semah.
