This year’s BMT 2024, held from September 18 to 20 at the University of Stuttgart, provided our research group with an excellent opportunity to present our latest work to a diverse, interdisciplinary audience. As one of the most important platforms in the field of biomedical engineering, the conference brought together experts from academia, industry, and clinical practice to discuss groundbreaking developments and innovative technologies.
A day prior to the main conference, on September 17, one member of our team participated in the Young Forum BMT. This event gave young researchers a unique chance to visit two leading medical technology companies in the Stuttgart area. Participants gained valuable insights into current industrial applications and research approaches while establishing meaningful connections.
During the conference, our group was actively involved: Lars Gierschner, M.Eng., presented the latest research results from the iFoot and EPWUF-KI projects in a poster session. These projects focus on sensor-based wound care support, and the presented concepts sparked significant interest and engaging discussions with fellow experts.
