Systemic communal conflict management
for internal municipal conflict managers

Hochschule Niederrhein. Your way.
About the certificate course

How stable and democratically stable municipalities and districts will be in the future depends on how they deal with conflicts and crises.
The central social challenges of our time - such as transformation or integration - must be implemented locally. The problems and disputes that arise in this context are dealt with in the municipalities and districts with a great deal of commitment, but by different bodies and with different approaches.
With this certificate course, we would like to support specialists in further professionalizing their work and developing holistic structures and procedures for conflict resolution. You will learn the foundation courses and techniques of conflict analysis, discussion and conflict management, with the aim of developing your own conflict management system and designing the necessary roles and functions.

      Three questions for the lecturers:

Why is the continuing education program "Systemic Municipal Conflict Management" currently of interest to many professionals?
"How stable and democratically stable municipalities will be in the future depends largely on how they deal with the conflicts and crises that occur more frequently. Many specialists in administration and social institutions are already doing an excellent job of this. This apprenticeship builds on these resources and offers an opportunity for further professionalization."

What are you particularly looking forward to about this university certificate course?
"My work motto is: You can only accompany people who are leaving. That's why I'm looking forward to participants who want to contribute their experience and develop their work further." (Kurt Faller)

And what can the participants look forward to?
"That they can exchange ideas with colleagues in an atmosphere of appreciation and compassion, reflect on their previous experiences, learn new things and consolidate them in practical exercises."
