Workshop program of the Equal Opportunities Officer for female students

The world of work today is characterized by a variety of options, the constant change of structures and processes in organizations and a high complexity of requirements. Clear career paths can only be offered to a limited extent. At the same time, employees have a justified desire to make a meaningful, effective and recognized contribution to the organizational mission/company goal in a functioning working community.

Become the architect and developer of your own life and work plans. The program provides suggestions on how this task can be accomplished.

Structure and contents

The program is divided into 4 half-day face-to-face events with thematic specializations and practical exercises. Workshops 1, 2 and 3 are each followed by 2 two-hour online meetings in which concrete case studies and projects of the participants on the respective specializations are discussed. The dates of the online meetings are coordinated with the group. Workshop 4 rounds off the process.

Workshop 2 Career development as part of life design 13.06.2025 (9 am - 1 pm)

Workshop 3 Communication & cooperation in organizations 10.10.2025 (9 am - 1 pm)

Workshop 4 Preparing for entry into professional life 28.11.2025 (9 am - 1 pm)

Requirements for successful participation

• The topic of career entry is relevant for you in the foreseeable future.
• You are interested in a longer-term learning and reflection process.
• You are committed to taking part in the workshops and online meetings.
• You are willing to contribute your experiences and questions to the group.

The program is aimed at female students - especially those on STEM degree programmes at The Hochschule Niederrhein.
